Our Herd Management and Sales Policies
Here at Ace-Hi, we are present for all the births, where we clean and separate the kids from their dams at birth. We treat navels, give Bo-Se and CDT vaccinations (due to high prevalence & need for protection due to deficiencies in our soils and high over-eaters in the soil as well.) After birth we start our kids on heat treated colostrum, then pasteurized milk, using cocci prevention methods.
All kids are raised separate from the herd, given top quality alfalfa hay (free choice) and a custom mix of grain and vitamins until they are four months old, at which time we reintroduce them back into our herd adding pasture/grazing/browsing into their diet.
All our goats are given treats from our tree cuttings and garden that add interest and variety to their diet. We supplement them with baking soda, mineral salt w/ selenium, iodized salt as well as kelp.
We test every other year for CL, CAE, and Blue Tongue and have maintained a disease free herd for over 20+ years.
We require a $100 deposit to reserve kids, or hold a kid of your choice, with the balance due when the kid is picked up. All kids pick up dates need to be within two weeks of birth or worked out with us on a case by case basis. We will charge $1 per day for care if it takes longer than two weeks for you to arrange to pick up your kids. If you do not pick up your kid/or make other pre-paid arrangements, we will consider the kid available for sale again, with no refund of deposit. If for some reason, your kid dies in our care, we will refund you your deposit or transfer it to another available kid if you choose.
Because, so much time and effort goes into our kids, all sales are final when the kid leaves our property.
